Snoring is such a common condition we often don’t think much beyond its nuisance value. Your risk of sleep apnoea is increased if your are overweight, drink alcohol or use sleeping tablets or have a sinus problem. Sleep apnoea also pushed the night time blood pressure higher, significantly making the risk of heart attack or stroke so much more likely.
