80% of the the things that make us sick as we age have a strong degree of preventability about them. Keeping more active, eating better and drinking less alcohol are mantras we all know.
Yep, we all want to live healthier but good intentions don’t always translate into action. A US study sheds some light on changing this around. A three study of people at risk of Type 2 Diabetes has found that when a life coach was part of the action more than half of the people involved lost 7% of their body weight and were able to keep up with 150 minutes of walking to a puff each week.
The significance of this is huge. They were able to either delay getting Type 2 Diabetes or were able to better managed the condition. Listen in as Dr John explains:
