Overweight and Fit – is it possible?

When we think of people as overweight we always think of them as being unfit.  Dr John talks about some US research that studied a group of 43,000 people who were overweight and came up with some surprising results – one third of the sample were fit! This group tended to be people who exercised and the message that comes out from this research is that it is possible to be overweight and fit but don’t try it!  For the average person, being overweight means a higher level of risk for high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and kidney disease.
