Breast cancer. It’s the most diagnosed cancer effecting women in Australia, with one in 8 developing it in their lifetime. Diagnosis and treatment is a harrowing experience for many, no more so than for women located outside of an urban centre who can’t access all the elements of support. It is here where the McGrath Foundation’s breast care nurses really are a shining light.
Joining me this morning is Judi Maple, a breast care nurse based in Swan Hill, Victoria, to talk about how she supports women in regional communities.
